These guys just keep delivering the goods - A new screensaver for pretty much every episode. Pandemic features pan flutes and a suitable amount of catastrophe. There is also a nice control panel to set the view from "Chill" to "Close Up" and control the sound. Good Stuff.

Mathmos - Virtual Lava Lamp

Molten globs of whatever that stuff is that goes in a lava lamp float up your screen, just like in a real lava lamp. Mathmos have done a really nice job here. The web page detects if you are on a Mac or a PC and presents the right screensaver. There is also a Settings window to change the color, shading and quantity of lava.

Dr. Who - Episode Pictures

A couple of screensavers from the BBC of the classic (and current) TV series, Dr. Who. The beauty of this show is that since Dr. Who is a Time Lord you can keep on throwing in new actors as the Dr. -and so they have for the past 20 or more years. This I believe is the current Doc.. NBA Live 09 Dynamic!

NBA Basketball fans will love this one (once they get past the obnoxious female in the deli). The screensaver grabs fresh content daily, so you get the latest in dunks, dribbles and fouls. Just what the sports doctor recommended. 

BTW the installer for this screensaver is "Quiet", when you double-click it looks like nothing happened, but your screensaver is installed and ready to roll.

Cult of Cartman - Southpark

Back to the well we go with this new Southpark screensaver. It almost hypnotized me with slowly zooming images of Cartman. These guys have even gone to the trouble of creating an Options panel that allows you to set just how much Cartman you get. Lovin' it!

Ironman, better late than ever..

Ok, not so timely on getting this one up, but it's still fun. You get to watch a very nicely rendered 3D Ironman model evolve from first generation to third. Hit the site then hit the downloads link. This is a very nice Flash site, too bad a little more of it didn't make it into the screensaver, still... worth a look.

It's Sunday so we dig deep. For this Sunday we came up with a screensaver for the Gatekeeper's book series about five young people who must save the world from. Apparently it's all about the Power of Five..

Well for Saturday, we looked high and low and came up with the uitzendinggemist saver. As best as I can tell, it is from a Dutch television network. The screensaver appears to be a quite a nice implementation of dynamic updating, and is full of really cool looking phrases like "Amerika Fenancials est Spookte.. " Anyway with visitors from all over the world to Macscreensavers.com we try to be little bit international.

Burn after Watching

Burn after Reading is said to be quite a good movie; not so much time was spent directing this screensaver. With all the gads of content there must be from this movie... it could have been so much more.

Danish Timepiece

Lars Holmgaard  created this very nice looking clock screensaver. It displays the time, day of week, date and moon phase - all with analogue pointers. It also scales smoothly to all screen resolutions. (I should also point out the days of the week are in Danish just to keep you on the ball). Lars tells me a version for us English speaking luddites is on the way.

Bjernies Colorbars Screensaver

SMPTE color bars - a type of television test pattern turned screensaver - and a clock to boot for that complete video monitor look. Oddly compelling
